Trim Kit and 4 inch extension on pump

    Hello-

I am new to this site as a registered user, but have visited several times when I have had some technical questions, most of which have been previously asked by others.

The question I have is can a standard trim kit for a 650 SL fit on mine which will have a 4 inch pump extension and extended ride plate from Ocean pro?

If not what if any modification would need to be made to the trim kit to get it to work.

    Thanks

    Shane

You will need a longer rod from the motor to the trim nozzle.
Do you also have the longer steering cable as needed for the pump extension?

Oh and WELCOME to the Green Hulk Forums!!

Thanks for the welcome and the information. Yes I do have the longer steering cable. Do you have any idea on the model or year the longer rod for the trim motor should come from?

This is the greatest site for information.

How much differnce will this trim kit make as far as ride and speed. I have a brand new 750 motor installed and a new stainless steel impeller. No speedometer or way to guage speed, but it felt a lot faster and smoother with new motor and ride plate.

You can make the trim extension 10-32 threaded rod SS and a coupling nut..
I would also like to Welcome you to the Hulk...

As long as you are happy with the speed increase that is all that matters..

    Speedometers are for girls.

Ha speedometers for girls, thats pretty funny. Right now the only guage I have to speed is how much my eyes water from the wind, more tears= more speed .
It is a 1995 650 with just plan ole 750 motor that is new, an ocean pro extended ride plate and intake grate. I had the pump rebuilt and added the correct SS impeller for the 750 motor and the 4 inch pump extension.

The trim kit was a pretty good bargin at $75 bucks on e bay so I thought why not for the price.

I live in the Pittsburgh area so unless global warming picks up the pace, I won't be able to ride again until March at the earlist.

95 SLX, 96 SLX, and any ski with the 4 inch extension will have the longer trim rod. There are a couple guys here that sell used parts or like Beer said you can make some thing up.

Thanks Nut for the info. I will try to make something up, unless I can find one cheap. I had a friend tell me once that BOAT stands for Break out another thousand. At the rate I have been going it seems to be pretty accurate
