Well i have not been thrown off and broken anything before. But i saw in the motocross world everybody started wearing a neck brace (leatt-brace) so i got one from leatt them selves. It is a South African product which has really taken off in the motocross world and in other sports aswell. www.leatt-brace.com It wont help unless you are wearing a helmet. I have attached a pic of me riding with it. One thing i can say is i dont even know i have it on when i ride. I also attached a pic of my lifters on my rxp. I really like racing with them i dont even notice i use them but if i ride a ski with out them i notice that i slip around a bit.

Mark, I believe you can order from here, but I wonder if anyone stocks them in the USA.

Since you need one for the brace, what is a good skid lid for riding skis?

This is the one I use. Used it for MX riding and sold the bikes a couple of years ago...

Nickdog, great find. Looks like this brace is far better than the simple horseshoe collar when worn with heavier full coverage helmet. Looks like this system may work well at reducing risk of neck torque even in a high speed sideways fall with heavier helmet. If its not that restrictive, even better.
