    What happened??????

    During break in motor ran fine for about an hour, then bogged and this is what i found.

    looks like pv hit piston. just my .02cents iam NOT a engine builder.

    Top ring broke off, Wonder if it caught the lip of the exuast port and broke a piece of the piston. Looking at the other piston looks rich enough lot's of piston wash.

    efi was at 4,3,6,7. recommend was 3,2,5,7. went one up for break in. cylinders 1 and 2 look great.

    now i need to find a 1300pv cylinder, piston and riva head.

    It's not fuel Steven you can see good piston wash on the other pistons, Bring the cylinder and piston by the shop let me look at them. That way we can figure out what happened.

    Could have a leak at the intake maybe.

    Very possible Ronn, But what gets me is the top ring is broken on the exhaust side and it looks like it cause the top of the piston to break by the exhaust. Like the ring grabbed the lower part of the exhaust port and the ring pushed up on the piston and broke a piece of the piston. jmo If you bring it by Stevin we will figure out the culprit.
