Unlike the last taser video posted here this one is... dumb. Dude needs to get fired. Guy was not unruly, nor violent. Seems like a cop on a bad day on a power trip. Amazing how calm the guy stayed even after being tasered though...
although in hindsight, prob should have just signed the ticket.

If that cop is still employed in Utah, I'd be very frightened.
That is excessive use of force. And I bet the speeder could have filed an unlawful arrest suit for being tasered and arrested for not signing a ticket.

Now that's some good wholesome family entertainment there, I need some popcorn, and I'll watch it again.
Gotta love a good taser vid

Another excessive use force.
If you don't sign the ticket you DO get arrested. That is your right too. But lethal force?
Here's what this punk ass cop did wrong, and here is why he'll be sitting behind a desk for a while.
1) Did not inform the driver he was being arrested.
2) Did not read the driver his rights.
3) did not declare he was going to use the tazer.
4) tazers are not to be used in place of non lethal methods of submission like pepper spray. Tazer is the last choice before a gun is pulled.
Welcome to the police state. If you do a little research you'll see using tazers is becoming common practice and a solution to everything. Even against elderly, women and children. Cops like this should not be cops.

UM idiot driver should of just listened to the cop.
Or signed the ticket and fight it out in court.
Simple stop moving, put your hands behind your back.
but no he wanted this to happen, so he can retire early.
us$1000 bet that he is going to sue the department !

He better sue. That cop was wrong, no if ands or butts. And he lied. Cops are starting to think they can do whatever the **** they want. Forgetting they work for the people.
Cops need to be clear. When he refused to sign he should have told him that he can be arrested for not signing.
Someone peeded in that cops cherrios that morning or he had a bad donut.
