When change to Valve Train Upgrade Kit
At what rpm is it recomended to change to Valve Train Upgrade Kit?
Will it work for me to run 850rpm on stock head?

Any time you go with an aftermarket ECU (higher rev limit) you need the valvetrain upgrade kit.

What about the Race Tech retainers?? They run the stock springs with their ecu setups?? thanks

The Rotax Racing aluminum retainers
When using these retainers it is recommended to also use the valve spring shims to go under the springs to put more tension on them
The downside is that Rotax Racing recommends replacing the retainers after 20 hours of use. The hardened steel springs eat away the aluminum.
Mark at Race Tech polishes the spring to help prevent some of the scrub/wear.
The Riva valvetrain upgrade kit is a much better alternative as it uses lighter/stronger titanium retainers, higher rate springs and also includes new rocker shaft bolts in which you will need as they are not reusable.
I know someone that has revved a stock head to 9000 RPM's with only the addition of a Riva valvetrain upgrade kit and had no issues.

Now the RIVA Sea-Doo Valve Train Upgrade Kit is bought, from greenhulk off course
I also bought the tools to change the valve trains, and RIVA Stainless Steel Replacement Wear Ring.

Get it period! I already been through it floated valves across a boat wake ruined the entire topend. Dont even think about installing a a/m ecu w/o the valve kit. I recommend the Riva kit its soooo sweet and just about makes it bullet proof

I agree with Sleepless.
Do it at the same time you get the washers for the SC. IMHO the stock springs are borderline. Lots of stock ECU machines have sent a rear cylinder rod through the cases due to drop valves on stock rpm machines. It's spendy, but still "cheap" insurance compared to replacing a perfectly good bottom end. Talk to Jerry about the spring compressor.
FYI, my blowby went away after installing the springs. No idea why.

The is allready ordered I'll be innstalling the valve kit before using the ski again... The ski is under the knife now
The sc washers is done long time ago..

Can you run the Riva valvetrain upgrade on the stock ECU just for a piece of mind? Or will it hinder performance and put more stress on the engine?
