Intake Grate Girdle
This will hopefully solve my problem.Using a Dremmel I removed enough of the webbing on the underside of the pump shoe to fit a 25mm x5mm S/S plate.Drilled and tapped the bolt holes in the plate and squeezed it in.There is a small lip on the ride plate that it now sits on so if the grates going to bend down again it will have to bring the ride plate with it.

Went testing again and the girdle seems to holding the grate up there ok. Gone further backwards with rpms down another 200 to 7450 but interestingly no loss of top speed. I cant` figure this thing out

Is a girdle needed on a stock RXP if an anftermarket grate is added ?
Is this needed after a certain speed ?
Are they known to pull thru ?

R & D has a girdle that they sell that fits close to the one you made....you end up with a total of 5 bolts in the rear....ROCK SOLID
