Another broken intake grate GRR
Went riding turkey day before I had to help the fam with cooking - Was down a couple rpms so im like uhhh its prob a boost leak or something idunno- I get back and my intake is hanging on by 2 bolts. 1 out of the 3 in the stern of the craft were out those threaded inserts i guess.
Question is how were the inserts attached? Do i need to get a new pump shoe?
What am i doing wrong
I attach bolts and grate with 5200 as well as the intake grate it self. Is there a stronger intake grate ican buy that wont break of the next time.
heres some pics

Everyone with an rxp needs to learn how to modify the riva grate to use the R&D girdle kit. I did mine and never had this problem again. This is a huge problem with these skis. Get the girdle kit modify that riva grate and sleep well at night.

Joe is 100% right... these grates having this problem is widespread and something needs to be done so no one gets hurt and so that you dont keep re-buying the same item over and over.

thanks shibby - it was weird the ski felt weird when i took a hard turn. Lucky i did take a nasty spill off the ski. Im gonna go with the R&d intake grate and aqua vein girdle kit.
