    R&D Grate bolts ???

I put the R&D grate on and re-used the stock bolts. Tightening forward starboard and must have gone too tight cause it broke off at the thread.Managed to get it out and used the bolts that R&D provide. (should have in the first place.) Question is guys how tight for the bolts? They are allen/hex head. Finger tight?

You can get allen head sockets. I would avoid loctite alltogether on those.

invest in a torque wrench, i snapped a spark plug off a couple of months ago by over tightening it.

you can get really nice snap-on digital torque wrenches off ebay for about 160 dollars that do from 5-100lb.

as for correct torque, check the shop manuals listed in the how to area.

please take the time to download a service manual in my signature. The torque settings are very important for every bolt on the ski.

Loctite is recommended by the factory!! At 5.4 ftlbs it would be wise or if you have some rtv silicon that would help, anything to help keep the bolt from backing out....
