    ok..newbie question...

I just removed my pump from my ski and then went to remove the cone. Well, I got the cone off but I thought there was going to be jet pump oil in there...there was grease instead. Do I clean out the grease and put in jet pump oil before I install it again? Or just keep the gobs of grease in there?

I did all this cuz im changing out my wear ring and impeller.

I wouldn't replace the grease, but that's just me.

no to the pump oil! if there is no evidence of water in the grease, seal the pump cone properly and slap it back together. You don't have to disassemble the pump to change the wear ring. Stick the whole thing in the freezed and the ring will slip out, might have to run some warm water on the pump body but work quick if you do!
