Just wondering what kind of kit ayll have and how you have it setup and so forth...If yalls kit is something else then post up and let us know what it is. After Kinch incident...I think this could help people understand this is a VERY rare problem and VERY isolated! So post up and help out the board members!

i have the regular riva block off, installed with supplied rings, and added some silicone just to be on the safe side with no issues.

I have the Riva kit, ran a whole season, then went to remove plates for access to thru hull clamps and found water behing plate, (it was wet) mustn`t have leaked much bc just had the few typical drops of water in the hull from riding, I checked frequently, so on the side of precaution, I removed the o-rings and just used a good silicone sealant behind them. But they are a mofo to get them off if you have to!...PR...

I just have the Riva kit also, used o rings and also used Marine Goop to seal around all of the edges with 2 coats of it....I also used clear silicone on the back of the plates to help the Orings out a little bit...havent noticed anything

I used the PPG kit on my gtx/sc and it had plates and gaskets for all openings in the hull, including the hole above the pump.

Is the OPAS controlled above the pump in the 04/05 models?

On the 3 seaters, i think so. I thought they stopped making them raise up and down after 03, but according to the pictures they still do.

As much as we hate opas, I think it's better than the power assisted steering that give it a little gas when you crank the bars.

I have the Riva with the distributor in place and capped off. I had severe water. It was coming through the hose connections enough to shoot out about 2 feet. It was also coming in from around the distributor. When the water was leaving the hull I could see it coming down from around the vacuum cap and distributor above the pump.

I'm going to order the block off plate and remove the distributor.
