    Fall Protection

After a close call putting up Christmas lights on my house last year, I want to do something to protect me from a fall this year. I have a steep roof which is about 25 feet high at its tallest point. Anyone have any suggestions for an easy to erect fall protection system?

Just throw your lights up, where they land is where they stay! LOL!

Believe me, that's what I would like to do. But the Mrs is not as practical as I am.

Just explain to her you can't pay the bills and give her the lifestyle she is used to dead or with a broken back. I'm seeing more sad stories of people related to this activity. Persoanally I dont see why people bother. Hire it done maybe

Yes, but it is on the back of the house and closer to one end than the other.

My house is similar. I just hung Icicle lights all along the gutters and angles of the house. Kept me off the roof. although I do need to go up there for the two dormers and I hate ladders myself. I will take a picture of it tonight.

I wish I had an answer for you, but since most roofers don't use any sort of fall protection, I can't think of anything off the top of my head.
