    handlebar options

i live on an island we pretty much get all of our parts from the states so there are many brands on alumninum racing handlebars to choose from i'm leaning heavily to the umi 29 inch silver ones but do you guys have any suggestions on better ones?

I use protaper. from a few motorcross buddys, they are more rugged.

    Looks pretty nice too...

oh yeah, there are teh directions I followed to install the bars and keep the stock trim ass'y.

    http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=7302

if you use 29" then the trim assembly may not fit back on, my tapers are 31", CR, and my grips are from a streetbike. I paid $69 because I bought them off the shelf and not online. If you are choosing to use the stock trim you will need grips for either streetbike or dirtbike. Also, be careful about grips, they are made for the larger dia. to be on the right side(twist throttle), you will use it on the left(trim), so if you have any lettering, i.e. scott, or anything directional, it will be upside down.

    You can always do this:

remove the oem ones and visit a bike shop, then looks for ones that are the same shape, just wider.

Depends on the bend and angle you mount them. With a new cover the 31" bars in CR High did not fit my ski. On a older cover (2001) it did work.
