    coming unconnected

Well i did a good bit of riding this weekend. the river is finaly starting to have a good many people out there on the weekend. So it was a bit rougher than normal. The lake was also pretty rough. Long story short the ski was coming unconnected pretty often. More than I remember. My question is will the riva grate help with this? Will it also make me lose some top end speed? I have read alot on this subject. I have heard you lose a little top end. But riva advertises that you gain top end. So what have you guys found?

You cant go fast if your not connected.

The Riva grate will provide better hookup.

The big surprise is in my testing it is actually faster than the stock grate.

I did a back to back to back test at the landing.

    GPS'd with the Riva grate

Bolted up the stock grate and lost speed

Immediately went back to the landing and bolted the Riva grate up and my speed came back.

Brad - I ran the exact same test as Jerry. We even spoke about it a while ago. The Riva plants you better and doesn't scrubb any top end.

    Worth the $ - Imo.

It should be stock on the ski, imo. I really like the combo of the Riva grate, no OPAS and aftermarket sponsons. It changes the RXP for the better.

What are your gains from the sponson? It seems like the stock ones do a pretty good job.
