Can high heat and humidity take away 200 rpms?

Curious ... can a 20 degree air temperature increase and similar humidity increase negatively impact our skis to the point of losing 200 rpms? More? Less? What have any of you experienced with this?

OH YES!! possibly even more RPM's. I have learned very quickly that the heat is a killer for these forced induction engines.

Yep, 8100 in cool air. All the way down to 7850 during the worst summer days.

Got it, thanks. I think that may explain why my RR IC install did nothing for my performance .... my prior numbers were when it was roughly 65 degree air and water and low humidity (Riva stage I, stock prop, 71.7 @ 8100 rpms). Then I installed the RR IC and power pipe and 158 degree t-stat the next week. This past weekend when I tested, I ran the same numbers .... 71.9 mph at 8100 rpm (same stock prop). But, the temps were high 80s, water temp said 75 and humidity was way high. So I guess the RR IC install DID help, but the weather changed so much it netted out to no gain.

Has anyone run a known good Rotax Racing stage I setup in the heat to know what RPMs it hits? 8300 RPM with stock prop?

Definitely!! In cooler temps,my RXP hits 8100 consistently. When temps climb above 85/90,I can only manage 7850-7900.One of the few disadvantages of living in Texas............................the heat

I hit 40 hours tonight, qurious about that remapping comment I bumped 7900-7950 ! Temp about 85 , water temp was about 72-75! How acurate is the temp gauge on the RXP? Cant be too acurate, I was sitting next t my buds 2004 RXP and his water and air temps were about 2-4 degrees off from my readings!!!!!
