    Garmin's great warranty

I have a garmin etrix vista for the ski which " I " broke , I also just bought a street pilot 530 which had a bug in it...called garmin and they said just send in the street pilot and they will sent me a new one. I inquired about repairing the vista that I broke which was not their fault, that I have had the vista for over a year and I would pay for the repair, their responce was " just throw it in the same box and we will take care of it full warranty and no charge"...This is a great company who takes good care of its customers..garmin payed shipping both ways and fixed both units under warranty.....Its nice not to get the run around and I wanted everyone to know what a stand-up company garmin really is. ( and no i dont have any garmin stock..lol)

My dad works for Garmin. But it doesnt matter what aspect of the company it is. Handheld GPS, Aeronautics, etc. They usually strive to have the best service and warranty in the biz.

I bought a garmin Nuvi 350 during the summer. The other day I saw at circuit city they have the new 08 maps for $70. When I got home I went to garmin.com and they are sending me the updated 2008 maps for free. I didnt expect that as I would have gladly paid for it anyways. Bravo Garmin.

Good post. Not too many companies left that would honor a 1 year old GPS at no charge AND pay shipping.

    Yup! So true.
I got my Garmin replaced w/ new unit after 1 yr out of warranty (barely 13 months). Not only did they replace w/ new unit, they even transfered all my waypoints.
Garmin is my TOP notch company.
