    Exclamation RUDE Thru Hull Install

I've read through all of the threads I could find about thru hull exhaust but couldn't find what I'm looking for. I have an 04' RXP which I have the shorty waterbox on order (back ordered) and I have the RUDE thru hull tip on hand. Currently I have the entire ski torn apart and what I want to be able to do is install the RUDE tip before the box comes and while the ski is apart (easy cleanup). What I was wondering was if anyone could get me some measurments from their RUDE Tip? Maybe one of where the center of the hole should be on the outside of the hull? Due to the fact that I dont have the waterbox I'm really not sure where to place the hole.. Any help would be much appreciated!

Picture of a RUDE tip on an RXP would be great..

Also one more question I have is has anyone removed the oem foot mats and put the oem foot mats back on? If so what did they do with the rivets?

    Thanks! ..KAP..

here is the instructions for the riva exhaust install. The second to last page there is a template for the RXP
    That is all you need,

Within the instructions look at illustration 10... no quite the rude tip but extremely similar

some tips the forum gave me
    1. tape around where you are gonna cut as this will reduce chipping the gel cote
    2. put the drill in reverse until you get thru the gel cote.

when you are done drillingyou will most likely have to sand the hole.
I used 100 or 150 on the areas with gel cote and 60 on the fiberglass. fine tuning the hole took about 5 minutes.

Oh yeah, not recommended doing this inside, as this stuff stinks when it is being cut. also, a face mask should be worn, and you will need a shop vac. If you use the housevacuum change the bag when you are done.

good luck on the hole. jsut dont think about it and just do it....
