    stxr air/fuel mixture screw

    can some one tell me what the stock setting is on these carbs please...how many turns out do they have to be ?????

    On stock Carbs. STXR have CV carbs with no visible screws unless you drilled out the caps.

    If memory servers me right the book says 1 1/4 + or minus 1/2. Here is a pic of where they are.

    Did you drill them out to get to that screw? Dont recall that at all.
    Mostly because I swap out carbs to Novi but still cant recall that.

    That set of carbs was modded by skiworx so the caps probably were drilled out. I have tons of pics, there will be more as I tear it down for winter mods. Here are the carbs on it now

    are they 50 buckshots...i've a set,but not running them...have you got them dailed ?

    what jetting and pop off are you running

    Yes they are buckshot 50s. The jets are 160 high 110 low black spring I dont know the pop off dont have a gauge. I am running 2 mikuni pentagon pumps with a .95 restrictor jet in the return. This gives me 2 psi at idle and about 5 1/2 at wot. You can check my mods thread for more on my setup. Some of the stuff will apply some wont. Here is the link to my photobucket carb photos.

    Hey do us a favor and start a thread about your "Project 150" Ill put it in the how to section and protect it from alot of responses. More of a journal about your rebuild.

    That and you need to ditch the V-Forces and get the R&D Monsters. I can hook you up with a great price on a set of new ones.


    Your stock carbs had been drilled open and a new jet put in them. Stock that screw is covered over.

    Skip I may do that when I start tearing down. The mods thread I have going is kind of a running log of what i have done. My winter plans will include truing my hull and a new paint job. The engine is what I cant decide on. My options are to go big bore [ I have the cyl and pistons ] or change to flat top pistons and do some porting. The v forces have worked well so far I couldnt beat the price I got them for. My goal this year was to break 70 and to pass harry. So my new goal is 74-75 and still stay ahead. That may be tough he has been really quiet.
