    Fastest Polaris

Hey guys, I am not knowledgable about Polaris skis but I have nothing better to do in school today, so what polaris model is the fastest and what are the specs of it??....and has anybody modded their polaris and if so how fast have you gotten them?

In absolute stock form the 1200 Polaris SLX was probably the fastest out of the crate ski Polaris made....

In perfect glass it would run 64-65 stock...With basic bolt-ons you could get into the 67-68 range and really worked up they would exceed 70mph (although it was a hard hull to get way past 70...)...This required absolute glass as the ski was a handful in any chop

The Pro 1200 was just a tick slower but a all around better ski...Once you started modding though I think the 1200 had better top end potential...I know of a completely worked one running 75-76...

The Pro785 was almost as fast on top but considerably quicker than either of these....I think it could run 63ish but got there really fast (came tripled from the factory)...

Believe it or not the MSX line has turned out to have the most go fast potential...From barely breakinmg 60 stock there are several that once turned into the "Matrix" (carbs, triples, etc..) run north of 70 easily and several that have been north of 75...One has even been damn close to 80...

I have a 94 650 running right at 60. And BeerDart has a 95 SLT running around 65mph (still dialing everything in). Just to through some of the older ski's numbers out at ya.

In the pre-MSX hulls, how do the Pro 1200, SLX 1200, and Virage TX (1200) stack up in terms of handling and ride in non-glass water?
