    RXP - Drop Nozzle???

Has anyone got any experience with a drop nozzle on the RXP for CC racing? (mrracing?) Particulary the R&D auto drop?

Also I have stepped stock sponsons but have noticed that they have a downwards hook in the last 1-2 inches of them, has anyone tried remving this hook? Does it improve handling?

    Cheers,

    Grant

i have one but it is still new... i havent had enough time on the ski running bouies ...to say if i really like it or not ..what it is ..or does is ...as you turn the bars it automatically trims the boat down for the turn ..yet the vts works as normal ..provided you get the rod to go with for cruzing..that is why i chose it over the hydrolic quick drop lever .. it is adjustable from 2 to 4 deg of trim down ..for what time i have had on the ski it seems ok so far ...just make sure on install you locktight everything... i forgot a bolt... lost it the nozzle came off and I ended ubeached on an embankment no fault of the drop nozzle ...i think you ask about sponsons just lower you stock ones by redrilling them about 1/2 inch or so and it will turn predictable but as hard as you can hold on

    Hi Grant,
not sure about the drop nozzle but we have a race here next weekend where some guys race them successfully and I'll have a word with them and let you know.
I know that you have lowered your original sponsen and I did the same a little different way.
What I found out about the 'kink' in the end of the sponsen was, when I removed it the turning wasn't that aggssive anymore but much more predictable.
I think the 'kink' will drop the nose of the ski down too much and make it hook hard in the rough. As i said, I made the sponsen flat in theend and like the performance much better.
if you like I can post you some pics?
How do you like my X-BO's?
I think the the combination of the X-BO's and Drop Sponsen might make the ski hook to much but I never tried the drop sponsen without the xX-BO's.
    Cheers

They're an OPAS block-off similar to Race Engineerings that Hydrogen constructed himself.
