    Does anyone make a header?

Havent saw anything about one so Im assuming no but I was just curious why not? Does the 4 stroke not require as much flow and a little backpressure and maybe thats the reason?
Seems as though it would be a weight savings also.
Please inform the newbies. Thanks, Flyn Ryan

If you were to disect the stock exhaust manifold you would see a very smooth curved path for the exhaust. You are correct that there would be a weight saving.

it would need to be waterjacketed and I think that is the thing that makes a header for these very difficult to build

Well, they do it for boats, so I'm sure it could be done. The question is: is it worth it? Are there any gains to be had by putting a headr pipe on?

And I bet it would be loud.

They actually had a nim rod on here that told me he gained power by putting a catalytic converter back in his Ford Ranger! And a FULL second in the QUARTER! NO LIE! That cat was on smack.

I've seen one and it does give it something, getting the pipes the same length is the problem with limited space. Probably 100 rpm. I've heard several stories about the actual performance. Bo was running it at the Mark Hahn 300 but

I have read and spoken with several guys that have done it on their GPR's and have reported gaining RPM's.

Hoss, are you implying that headers create backpressure?
