Well im putitn in the thru hull, but i have to pull the resin and it calls for the moving of the vts. any tricks around not moving the vts??

yup, remove the throttle body and you can rotate the resenator out. takes some effort but its much easier than removing the vts and less clean up than cutting it out.

I had to remove the throttle body and the coolant lines below it to get it out.. My coolant was already drained so it made it easier. Prob still easier then removing the vts.

I made a tool that removes the VTS in about 30 seconds...Took a socket that fit, cut it in half with a chop saw, and extended it 12" with a chunk of pipe...Fits right over the VTS arm and undoes the nut...with pump still on!
