    Star Wars question...

I was having a discussion with some people at work this week about Star Wars, and we came upon a difficult question...which spawn two more questions.

If someone has not seen ANY of the movies, what order should they watch them in?

    1) As they were released, Episodes 4-6, then 1-3...
    2) In order, 1-6...

We also questioned would they see a different story depending on their order...

    1) If they watched them in their release order, they would see two different storys...The first being focused around Luke/Leia, and the Rebellion...The second would be about Anakin/Vadar, which sets the stage for the next 3...

    2) If they watched them 1-6, they would see a story all about Anakin/Vadar. From his travels as a young boy to being a Jedi, his transformation to Vadar and to power, and his eventual full circle he makes when he kills the Emporer...

Some felt that the proper order would be 1-6...because specific items/things seen in 4-6 are unanswered questions you won't know until you see 1-3...

Some argued that 4-6 then 1-3 gives you a more appreciation for 1-3 when you watch them, kinda as you are anticipating things...

Either way, once you watch all 6 you can watch them again in any order and pick out several things that coincide with all the others...

What do you guys feel is the proper order...

4,5,6,1,2,3. That's the way I saw them. Of course I'm old enough to have seen the originals untouched by the "remastering" process.

From what I have found out, Lucas wrote the screen play as one large episode, all 6 together...but he split them up into 6 parts, and started with #4...
