14/17 or 14/18 on my RXT

I'm currently running a 14/19 Solas on my RXT, mods include NOPAS, Riva power filter, Riva grate, 2 deg Wedge & Vortex upgrade,

My mates totally stock RXT ( apart from Solas 13/18 ) is whipping my ass on hole shot and connection... we swapped ski's and his feels quicker off the mark..and more stable on WOT over chop... might be the fact the OPAS is holding the ski better..do not know...

My question is, am I better off with a 14/18 or a 14/17.. the holeshot will be better on both I know, but am I going to lose top end too much with the 17?

My current peak RPM's are 7850.

Well I had asked Jerry what prop to get for my friends stock rxt and he said 14-17r. We just switched prop and ski went 67.4 and was racing the other rxt's out there and was pulling them all the way around. I would think with the ride plate holes filled opas block off and the wedge he would see 69's. But I am not sure after doing the upgrades to a stage 1 that you might have to go with the 14-19 which is the rxp prop

On fresh water mine can turn the 14/19 quite well.... out dragging every GTX and RXT by 2mph...but in the sea it's struggling big time... denser water and non-flat planing surface seams to suck the power more I suppose...

Stage 1 for me was a 13.5/17.5 by impros. Then you could pull a mm out or 2.

    Probably one would be enough.
In 90 degree weather and 80 degree water mine would get to 8150 but slow down at 8100. I never pulled a mm out of it because I started the stage 2 but I would think one mm would have been perfect.
