There will be a new class added to the list. NOS !

It will not be separated into Sea-doo NOS or Yamaha NOS or 2 or 4 stroke NOS.

    Just NOS.

Also, chime in if you feel there should be another class added to the list. Remember, this is all coming from the Mudbug fund, so please don't forget to donate to the cause to help make this another successful year ! Every penny helps !

I have a suggestion. If people want to add a few classes (which would be cool) I think it would be most cost effective and compromising to take off 3rd place for some of the classes.

For example, Large trophy for 1st place triple pipe, small trophy for 2nd place triple pipe. Then use the $ from the 3rd place trophy to go towards starting a new class.

    It's just a suggestion

i think that's an enourmous about of classes

and it gives yamaha 2-stroke people way more chances to qualify than anyone else.

you basically have a budget biuld stock class (single pipe) for 2-strokes... yet the 4-strokes have no stock class budget build, so us poor folk dont stand a chance against custom 4-stroke turbo nitros EMS setups

it's a catch 22... either slim down the classes or start adding a crapload more classes... just my .02

gonna be hard to pick that point where you draw the line... turbo vs SC, EMS vs non-programmable ignition, 1600cc vs 1500cc, 13+psi vs 8psi

and what about like you can only win one cateogy... so if you are the MUDBUG OVERALL CHAMP on a turbo something and blow your 15,000 dollar motor 1 second after you hit the top speed, well ur not gonna win 3 trophies (top rxp, top overall, and hard luck)

i think there should be a limit to make it more fun for everyone and broaden those in the winners circle.

if you are the BIG DOG top winner, do you need to really give a crap about winning a trophy in a smaller inferior class? it would be understood that the 1st place winners with triple pipes or 4-strokes or conversions were really SECOND to the BIG GUY overall

Same amount of classes as last year listed above. Nothing changed. thats what this thread is for....lets discuss.........

I have had PM's about consolidating the 3 two stroke classes...getting rid of EFI and Carb and make is just 2 stroke and 2 stroke triple.

(you basically have a budget biuld stock class (single pipe) for 2-strokes...)

Thats not necessarily true when an EFI ski cant run triple pipes.

And the single pipe yamahas can have either a 1300,1390,1490 or 1530 motor. Nobody knows except the owner and they are all in the same class..

    Top 2 Stroke: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
    Top 4 Stroke: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Top Conversion: 1st, 2nd, 3rd (cannot win 4 stroke class by default)
Top Old school Ski: 1st, 2nd
    Best Graphics: 1st, 2nd
    Hard Luck Award: 1st, 2nd
    Farthest Traveled: 1st
    Top Turbo: 1st, 2nd
    Top Nitrous: 1st, 2nd

We need to break down the 4 stokes to SC and Turbo otherwise SC need not run.
    Just my 2 cents

Division of classes can only be done by the MAJOR differences in the skis.
Easy visual identification of these differences is imperative also to stop any cheating. Yes, racers have been known to cheat!
I am all for as many classes as money permits to acknowledge as many peoples accomplishments as possible.
What would an awards ceremony be is only 6 people got recognized?

Yamaha EFI is a major difference from a carbed engine.
Triple pipes are a major difference from a single pipe.
Nothing on the planet adds as much horsepower as NOS so its own class is necessary, and it is also easy to visually identify.
All RXPs and RXTs are forced induction, period, which makes any division of the class pretty technical, and hard to enforce.

The only split i see practical is a division between supercharged and turbocharged.

As the sport grows, classes will need to be added.
We have the Yamaha 4 stroke HO motor on the horizon also.
    Where will it be classified?

To me the answer is in the almighty dollar bill.. Since this event is entry fee exempt, and thrives off of contributions, i challenge everyone to double their last years donation to make this the biggest and baddest Bug to date.
As Billys MB fund grows, im sure adding respective classes will not be an issue.
Remember everyone, lots of people are watching how we operate now, Riva, PWI magazine, and all of their readers and peers... Lets give them a good example of what can be done without a big corporate sponsor dictating what we can and cant do, and recognize as many people as possible who live the Greenhulk lifestyle...
