Why are the GPR hulls so popular?

Why is everyone converting GPR's, and not other hulls?

are they the best handling? do they have the best top speed capabilities?

what are the advantages of having an RXP engine in a GPR hull rather than a RXP hull?

    thanks, mark.

8-10 FREE mph seems to be the advantage

i wouldn't say a drag racer mod only... it's kind of the all-around ultimate monster... altho my seat time on one is about 5 minutes short until i'm able to finish building my own personal conversion.

    u get GPR handling
    u get supercharged 4-stroke acceleration
u get huge top speed gains
.... until something better comes along, it's as close as u can get to a really fast ski with incredible acceleration that can still handle well

i believe Insandediego Joe puts his conversion ski on the Closed Course very frequently.. they are being used for CC racing, top speed records, drag racing, recreational use... whatever you are into

Biggest reason, is 10mph faster. The reason you see so many appearing is that it's not too difficult to do.

    My reasons:
    • The gpr is a great all-around hull for a 1 seater.
    • The rotax engine is cheap, popular, and reliable 200plus hp.
    • 91 octane friendly 80plus mph ski, with 3ft rough water handling.
    • Upwards of 90plus mph ski possible.
    • The hull is bulletproof.
    • Personal preference, I like the looks.
    • Friendly to 6footers.
This is only the tip of the iceberg. As more engine types become available, you will see more and more excellent style hulls and engines with awesome combinations.

well all 4tec conversions are not GPR..
we got a XPL 4tec and a SUV 4tec. and now im finally building a GPR with ???????? there also been a few polaris and merc v6 powered gsx .
It does seam the gpr hull is the best for top speed. the XPL hull and the SUV hull just dont do well at high speeds.
