    Dam rattlely hood hinge GP1300r

    any way to fix the this.The dam hood sounds like a 1972 herby drives me nuts.I did see some one selling new hinge to fix the prob but have no idea where.
    any ideas?

    Mine only rattles when the front bucket is out. If its not tight when you latch the hood you may have to bend the catch a little to make it seal. That should stop any noise.

    ill give that a go.Mine just rattles all the time its very anoying.maybe a little bending of the hinge will fix ill let you no i go

    Not the hinge! The U shaped bar that goes into the latch. Unbolt it from your wind screen and bend the J shape more pronounced to shorten its overall length. This will pull the hood tighter against the seal.

    Yea that damm rattling hood! B/F I figured out it was the hood i would ride with the seat open looking to see WTF???? Sounds like motor ping!

    My GPR, when I had it, used to 'buzz' at the hinge sometimes.

    The cure was a spot of oil.

    Maybe install a thicker gasket under the bucket to raise the bucket up and make everything tighter???

    Works like a charm...Lowe's has it too..get the norprene based, it will resist the water depleting it.
