Bad switch or starter problems on 04 RXP.
The last two times out I've had problems starting my 04 rxp. I'll hit the start button and nothing happens, wait a few seconds and suddenly the start button works. I've done a little searching here, didn't find much, wonder if I need to yank that switch out and put it on an ohm meter.

mike i had the same problem this summer. i would push start button and nothing worked. wait a little and it would work, just like u are saying. heres the weird thing about it. if i used 2 fingers to push start button it worked. it seems like the button has to be pushed in the right area on mine or nothing happens.

mike I had the same problem. Surprisingly it was the lanyard making inconsistent contact with the pole

justify a recall or service bulletin from our faithful mfgr. ??

i went out tonight and noticed when i was pushing the start button it would just click click. it did eventually start but i'd sure hate to be stuck out in the middle of the lake, something is going out.

Make sure the ground connection on the battery is ok. Might need some cleaning with battery terminal cleaner then the protector.
It's worth a try..
