    RXP Exaust

question on possb. getting the rivia rear exaust kit for a stock 04 rxp...
    1. why do you have to get the opas block offs for it to work? is it because it will be in the way and if so, couldnt you just drill the hole more twards the center? is it noticably louder (really what im going for) and other than drilling a hole into my baby, how hard is it?

opas will get in the way. There's no way around it. On a stock waterbox with resonator taken off, "Yes" a little bit. You have to drill through your "Baby" just wisper sweet nothings as you put your tool in her and drill away . There is a template that is supplied at the riva kit. just follow the directions. You would need a Drill and a hole saw. Do you want me to post the Paper work directions?

sound, yes, a little bit. performance....My opinion is so-so maybe NO, depending how the waterbox is set up. If you are not comfortable in drilling holes on your baby. Don't. But if a Macho sound you want then it's the Riva kit you want to start up with. enjoy the pics!

u can keep the OPAS and use the stock exhaust outlet like i did... but it does resonate through the ski @ around 3500 rpm... but the sound is great none the less.. but i have a piranha intercooler in place of the exhaust plastic "waterbox"

and it aint easy doing it on a RXT.. RXP is easier to get the intercooler in etc...

YES you can move the hole to cordinate keeping the OPAS..There have been a few memebers on here that have done it..You will have to have a custom pipe made up though..If your going for sound You might as well have the water box mod done too...You wont be disapointed in the sound...Through hull with modded waterbox is the way to go..Matter of fact contact "Danny" on here he can probley help you out with the pipe and water box mod.

The location for the Riva exhaust tip is in the path of the OPAS. If you adjust the outlet to clear it, you will have no problems...But be careful, there is only a limited amount of space in the location that is flat enough for the hull fitting, that area has a bunch of compound angles...
