    Question about flo-rite install.

When drilling holes for flo-rites, in the fiberglass, what type of hole saw should i use. As in tooth number to make a clean cut. Should i get a saw for metal or wood? Thanks.

flo rites are easiest mounted on the plastic seat holder right bunder your seat the black plastic that can be removed for engine maintenance, unless there is a reason you want to put it on the fiberglass look on the online store for the picture or go to the riva site and get the directions from there with pictures.

once u get the drill bit portion thro.......... if the teeth are to aggressive u can run the drill backwards and get the groove started before u lay into it and helps the gouging aspect some hole saws have! good luck!

Also drill the 1/4" hole separate from the hole saw first. If you are not used to running big hole saws they can go through to quickly and gouge the material and break the pilot bit. This would make a mess of a hull. Also by all means do as Reid suggested and run the saw backwards after you get the pilot hole done and it will sort of be a guide to get you started.

MK, I drill a hole on my RXP, on fiberglass. my procedure is 1, get the right holesaw. 2, get a vacumm cleaner and attached the nozzel via ducktape to almost were your drilling. Drill away. The key to drilling anything is to feel the drill, how it catches and hooks up and the angle. Wacth out if it does catch, it break your arm or sprain something. Listen to the sound of the drill. enjoy the pics even if it was an RXP. same thing on the RXT exept for being Fiberglass. I didn't go flo rite, too much $$ and............
