    GTX SC @ 72.4 w/83 mm ring

    Well, round 2 today,

    Air/Water 66
Still 11 rock solid pounds of boost (this is narrowed down to a few things now why I can't get 13)
Went to an 83 mm ring from the 82
    nothing lower than a 71.6, a bunch of 71.9's, 72.2's and best of 72.4.
One problem though, I was so focused on checking my A/F readings to get this thing just right and when I was WOT I glanced at the tack and was pegged at 8550... From then on out, I could not even go WOT anymore. Everytime I tried to go WOT the RPM's were just trying to get up there, so with the 82 mm ring, I was only 72.1 @ 8250 RPM's. Now with 83 mm ring, I am at 72.4 but banging 8550.....Which combo now??Change the ring, bend the prop, what??? One might almost think that I am trying to "BLOW" this thing up prior to going into the motor.... I think I am going to get the 3 blade bent just right for 8400 with the right ring and try to enjoy the GTX for a few weeks.

    GTX -SC

Go back to the 82mm nozzle and bend your trailing edge 1/2 mm down this will bring your rpm's down. I know it doesnt sound like much but will work wonders . If not enough go to 1 mm.

I ordered some shims from Mark last Tuesday and hope to have them this week. I am going to add one just to see if my low slip has anything at all to do with the 11 pounds of boost versus the 13 it should be.
