Please Help With Satellite radio Install?

I'm hooking up a sirius unit to my existing clarion radio in my 06 sea doo sportster. Their are 3 main power wires to connect to power the unit.

    1. (black) Ground I know where that goes and what it's for

    2. (Red) 12Volt switchable with inline fuse I know where and why on this one

    3. (Yellow) 12 volt constant power? Why do I need constant power to a satellite radio???

    Thanks for any info...

if it has any presets then they would be stored
other wise you can put a switch on both red/yellow no broblem
the yellow should be fused also,, I bet money it draws power from the yellow and just uses the red as "a remote turn on" like alot of thing do
    just my worthless 2 pennys

Pics Of the unit I want to install

I don't think I will have to put a fuse inline for the (yellow constant) wire because as you can see in the photo their is a fuse inside the (filter box) inline of the yellow wire.

My plan was to hook-up the red ignition wire to the positive side of my accesory/cig lighter then hook the black ground wire up to the negative side of the accesory/cig lighter.

This way my satellite radio would only be on when the boat is on.

Will it be ok to power my satellite radio by tapping into the accesory/cig lighter wires???

    Thanks for any info...

Here's some pics of the unit and the 3 main power wires, red, yellow, black

you can hook it up that way BUT if this(satellite radio) and the acc/cig you might run into broblems later with not enough amps on that (probably a 15-20 amp ) circut and it looks like the fuse on the red was 20 amp and 2 amps on the yellow (thats makes me wrong previous statment)
I bet money it draws power from the yellow and just uses the red as "a remote turn on"
I am the biggest hack/jerry rigger i know with(systems on a scooter,in a book bag(wow i havent thought of that thing in 10 years lol it took 4 months for the teachers to find that thing),in every rental car i had as "kid", parents car for the week they go away, polaris hurricane,gp1200) BUT ON A STEREO I would still run NEW WIRE for at LEAST the ground..... "ground loop isolation"--(audible RPM'S,clicks and pops) is a biotch to deal with!!!!
