    550 - Low Speed – 1-1/16 (M), 1 (P)

    we know just a little about the old 550 skis.

    stock settings for a BN 44mm series carb on a JS550 are;

    high = 1 1/2 turns
    low = 1 turn
    pilot = 1 5/8 turns

    the high speed screw is the very top. the low speed screw is the next one down, and the pilot is the very bottom screw.

    the pilot adjuster is really just for a smooth idle. low speed is for the low speed circut, and high is of course for the high speed circut. these are just "recomended" settings for a starting point. you may have to fine tune some for your particular set up.

    hope this helps. zig
