    Gp1300 and 2 stroke oils

I have been told that you can only run the yamaha oil in these ski's because of the catalytic converter.I was looking at puting a riva d-plate in so i can run any oil but was wondering what is the best oil to run other than the std yamaha oil. Will running other oils apart from the yamaha oil ruduce the life of the ski?

    Thanks Jason

If you still have the Cat in your ski I would either keep using the 2W and make sure you keep en eye on the powervalves or you can use the AMSOIL Synthetic HP Injector Oil even if you have the cat in there. It is safe for the cat. Here is the information on the oil http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/hpi.aspx?zo=367509

First of all, the cats in these machines do not last long enough for the damage to be caused by the oil. When these machines first came out with the cat-con's, I personally had lengthy conversations with the top tech's at the some of the high end oil companies as Klotz and Maxima. Their formula DOES NOT contain the substances which would harm the cat con ( if they were to last long enough )
