2007 seadoo speedster Water temp sensor not accurate?

Every time I go out the water temp sensor reads 73 degrees however its colder than that around 65. Where is the sensor located and is this a software glitch related to the hour meter?

Can't say I know for sure where the '07 sensor is mounted, but I suspect its in or around the speedo wheel. That'd only be about 10" deep AND might be affected by heat absorbed from the engine compartment.

I wonder what you are using to test its accuracy and whether you are testing at the same depth.

Well the last 4 months the tempature has read 73 degrees but its been colder in florida than say October. And my wife needs a springsuit to go tubing than say a bathing suit

Oh No...you're not using a "female" thermometer, are you!? Mine tells me that the house thermostats are all broken.
