Bayou Princess new best speed
I just got off the water with Carey's ski and ran a peak of 76.2 with 1/2 tank of fuel and could hold a solid 75.8-75.9 anytime.
It gets there quick too
Lake temp 78
Air temp 84
As the fuel got down to 3 bars the ski would porpoise preventing me from getting good numbers
The only changes since the last time out were the installation of the Vortech impeller, filled the rideplate holes and added the Riva high flow hood.
To recap, her mods are:
Complete Riva Stage II minus the wedge
Riva pro blockoff's
Filled rideplate holes
The hood works very well as i saw no heat fade. Before the hood i would see 50-100 RPM drop by the time i got low on fuel.
It will be interesting to see what the new Rotax SC impeller and 42# injectors will bring

I want to get her ski to go as fast as possible with the stock ECU.
Hopefully the A/F ratio will be safe enough to run the RR imp with the 42# injectors.

jerry nice numbers now add rrecu and u will hopefully run 78-79 mph i ran last week a 76.3 with stock ecu and same set up i ran today with higher temps 87 air temp and 80 water temp and 74% relative humidity

Nice. I gots ta get me some skegs when they come out. What RPMs is she turning?

I firmly believe that with the RR ECU, RR SC impeller and 42# injectors i could run 78-79+, but that is too fast for Carey.

You got's to try Franks Riva IC too... .and you need to tweak out a 15/20 to run 8400 RPM's then you will see

Could you run the #42 injectors with the stock ECU?

If I didn't already have the RR IC, I would do the Riva IC. But to me 50 RPM isn't worth going through all that hassle again and cutting my hull.
