    Smile Replacing catalytic converter

Hi. I am from Brazil and have a 2007 GP1300R. I know the catalytic converter has a very short life, so I want to replace it by Riva d-plate. I'm confused because I saw this at Riva: RY1819 D-Plate, Cat Removal, YAM 1200/1300 Powervalve (66V/60T), but my GPR does not have PV. Is this the correct d-plate?
Also, is it necessary this sensor chip: RY115-20 Sensor Chip, Cat Temp, YAM 1200/1300 PV (66V/60T) ? Is it correct for non-PV GPR?

    And how about this warning?
"If installing on Catalytic Converter equipped models with OEM CDI we recommend our Cat Temp Sensor Chip. The circuit is designed to mimic the signal sent to the OEM CDI by the catalytic converter’s temperature probe preventing CDI flutters, warning devices sounding and engine shut downs due to cat removal."
How can I know if my ski has OEM CDI?

Is it easy to replace the original cat-con? Problems with temperature warnings will happen after this modification?

Thanks in advance. Sorry about my poor English....Fernando

It is very easy to replace the Cat-Con with the D-Plate.
There are some 1300 non-powervalve members here that may want to chime in about the temp sensor. I hear some still use the oem temp sensor, and some use the chip. I'll let them explain the details.

You will want to use that Riva D-Plate and you can skip on the sensor chip. It will not be needed on your 2005+ ski.

Thanks, Chrisrokc. But is it the same d-plate (RY1819 D-Plate, Cat Removal, YAM 1200/1300 Powervalve 66V/60T), even on my non-pv ski? If I skip sensor chip, warning temperature will be a problem? Thanks again.....Fernando

You will want to buy that D-plate.

The sensor chip is not required on the 2005+ GPR. You will not have a warning light.
