Welcome to Green Hulk!
The short answer is yes, but there is more to it than that. You need to check the squish. The squish is the clearance between the edge of the piston and squish band on the head.
Do a search on "squish"
Some people have separated the 2 piece head gasket, and just use 1 of the sections to reduce the squish and increase compression.

Hi lester, WELCOME to the Green Hulk Forums.
In the old days we'd just cut em' and run.
It wouldn't take long before we had overheat and detonation issues.
It's worth having the squish reshaped while you have the domes cut.

Welcome Lester. I had my 750 heads done by Watcon.com. He set them up for 92 octane fuel for $120.
