Which wins the turning game and why? rxp/rxt/gti?
from this thread http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=23593 it would appear the gti handles much better than the rxp.
I'd like to know from the ones who know..
if i'm riding in river chop all the time and i want a fast ski.. should i pick the rxp, the rxt, or the gti?
Didn't rxt's win the catalina races top spots?..not much turning but good in chop?
For closed course , would the gti with an intercooler be the ski?
Rxp just for flat water drag racing?
pls comment if you know. I haven't made a purchase yet.

in river chop you will have to go with a RXP, witha rough water setup, and you still faster und turn better then the RXT/RXP,
the RXT is the perfect offshoreski for big waves, but you need a lot of power to get the ski fast like a RXP
( maybe the best overall ski , but if your river gets flat water, the RXT is boring)
the GTI hull is not bad in the rough if you have a good setup, but you need to change the pump , driveshaft , pumpshoe, pumptunnel design, to use the power of a mod. engine. and you will still be 3 mpH slower with a GTI on topspeed compare to a RXP with the same engine

where the GTI shines is in really rough stuff. The V in the hull is a much greater angle and will will cut through the waves better. Only problem is the biggest HP engine is 155 so it's much slower and the base 155 hp engine is not a good platform to build on without changing a lot of parts.

thx guys..great input.. looks like rxp with rough water setup for me..cuz i also like to jump a boat wake once in a while and looks like that wont happen with gti or rxt.

I don't know what kind of...river...you run on, but chop is chop....you sure it ain't a creek...and you want to jump bass boat wakes?
Here's a coupla shots of an RXT...two up...off a boat wake.

hey that looks pretty good for a 3 seater...
i jump barge wakes on the mississippi.. huge but much closer together than ocean waves. My honda 3 seater jumps well...but not as well as my gpr did. My venture 3 seater is a total loss for jumping. My old gp12 jumped great but landed too hard sometime for my old back.. the gpr was perfect, but blew up every other yr. I have the honda for a 3 seater so i'll get the rxp for a 2 seater.
thanks to all.

Really i think the best hull is GTI, ( i chose for race in my team this year) but really like Mrr says is complicate to get a good top speed.
We take the pump, the driveshaft and the pumpsupport from RXP but even i think we don´t get a top speed like a RXP...but i,m sure i´ll get a better handing.
For me the GTI is the best hull in the market now ( i don´t refer other hulls like F. Zapata too i hane one of this but we are talking about stocks hulls).
