I have a huge wrench that I use on the spline tool. I roll my trucks front tire onto the very end of the wrench. I then slide the shaft onto the spline tool apply heat and bingo off with the old on with the new. Make sure to apply anti seaze or marine grease onto the threads before spinning on the new prop. Always tighten the prop onto the shaft, never let the torque of the engine tighten it on, thats a good way to permanatly install a prop onto a shaft.

Spline tool in the vise, large 18" crescent wrench on the impeller tool. a little heat to the hub if it is really really stuck. RX951 had a sline tool welded to his receiver hitch this was a good idea also.

Staring at the end of the shaft splines, impeller away from you
* clockwise to remove
* counterclockwise to install
here is a pic of the tool
