Newest Sirius Clarion Satellite Reciever Available

Here's a photo of the newest Clarion Sirius Satellite Radio Recievers That just came out. They cost $99.00 and from what I hear have amazing sound quality. Also here is a pic of the Clarion M455 Radio I'm upgrading to in my sea doo sportster. It's a satellite ready radio that works with the new Clarion unit in the photo.

My Stock Clarion M255 that came with my sportster is not satellite ready so thats why i'm changing out the radio also.

Pics Of The Galaxy SRA-25 Sirius Satellite Marine Antenna

Dr. Len Here are some pics of the antenna I bought. As u can see in the pics I can mount it two different ways. I can use the riser plate with 4 wood screws or I can toss the riser plate and just mount the antenna flush to the boat using the extntion stem and washer/Nut.

I want to mount it flush on the bow without the plate as you can see in my cardboard example. But I won't be able to reach my arm through the ski locker far enough to reach and tighten the nut.

I even removed the starboard light on the bow but my hand wont fit inside the hole.

If anyone has any good Ideas Let me know...

Here are some pics of the sirius antenna I would like to install.

Pics Of The New Clarion CLA-SC1 & Sirius SC-C1

I'm just waiting for the Clarion M455 Sirius Ready Head-Unit now,but here are pics of the Clarion interface and the Sirius Universal Reciever that will all be going into my 06 Sportster.

These things are realy small in size so you don't need much room to hide them away. The sirius antennas even got smaller now. I will do a full write-up after I install the system.

This set-up will work with the following Clarion Radios:
    M475,M455,CMD5,CMD4,DXZ775USB,DXZ375MP,DXZ865MP,DX Z365MP,DXZ575USB,DXZ275MP,DXZ765MP,DXZ265,DXZ575US B,DXZ665MP,DFZ675MC,DXZ475MP,DXZ465MP

This is what I was trying to tell you! Trust me try the small antenna under the dash first. I have a total of 6 Sat antennas mounted this way and 3 are on the boat. I am a tech so I know a couple of things. To be honest I see the picture of that big sat antenna and just cringe thinking about that toe catcher mounted on the outside of the boat! Not ripping on you just trying to help and I will now shut up about it

O.K. one last thing then I will shut up! What is your dash made out of? What is the antenna shell made of? If you answered plastic, glass and resin and not metal and lead then you are good to go! Remember one other thing this is digital it either works or doesn't any signal is a good signal compared to regular RF and the fade in and out.

Best of luck with your new stuff
    Scott

The housing of the little antenna is plastic.

My glove box is plastic/Fiberglass so I should be good..

    Thanks again for the info
