    Trailer hitches

I bought a reciever type class 3-4 trailer hitch about seven years ago for my truck and now it is rusting out pretty bad so I need to replace it with one of better quality I guess! I live here in Oklahoma so the weather and salt dont really play into it rusting out but alot of you guys deal with salt and snow every winter so please let me know what brand has held up for you? Also was thinking of getting a new one then taking it down to linex to have it sprayed that should do the trick
Open for your thoughts as well!
    Thanks

is it rusting out, or is it surface rust?

I'm in Chicago are and the hitch I put on my THEN NEW 02' RAM is rusted, only because the paint has worn off...I was planning on getting it powder coated the next few weeks. This should make it perfectly fine for atleast the next 5-6 years...

i was gona say the same thing is it rusty or rusted out. i have a class 3 on my truck that hit bad but the ny state salt and it has a lot of rust but not even close to being rusted out and its been on the truck since 92.

if its the rust thats bothering you this is what i would do. take it off take it to a local body shop have it sand blasted and then pain it with POR-15.

Its rusted pretty bad not only does the paint peal off but also some of the metal also!
Was thinking about getting it sand blasted then taking it to linex and have them spray it.
Will take it by somewhere to have it looked at but was just looking into my options also.
Thanks for the replys and the inputs also guys!
