    Stock IC question??

My '04RXP still has the stock IC and I'm stepping up to the Green Wheel this spring, my question is what would be the benefits of using a strainer for the stock IC and not that it is three years old should I clean my IC adn if so what should I use? I would like to get the most performance out of my new S/C wheel with a clean IC or maybe I am just spinning my wheels.

Jerry hurry up with the new intake and IC combo, that is why I am not going Ext IC as of yet. Also with the new intake IC combo wil I need 42's or not?

Gary, i wouldn't worry with a water strainer for the stock IC.

I would pull it out of the intake manifold and give it a good cleaning. You are bound to have oil buildup on it which will reduce performance.

With the IC intake you will need the 42's

Just use some soapy water. Dawn cuts grease and would work well. You just need to clean off the tube coils on the IC.

The trick to spending money is let the wife buy herself something nice and then you can get what you want

You don't. Gary is talking about the intake manifold im coming out with that has a larger intercooler built into it. Its basically the same as running an external intercooler so he would need the 42's with that.

It's an all aluminum intake manifold with a big intercooler built into it so there is no need for a remote mounted intercooler with all that plumbing. Gives a real nice clean look to the hull too.
