you might want to check the impeller, make sure there is nothing wrong with it... like cracks, scratches..etc. cause those will cause cavitation. As far as a pump reinforcement.. Don't think you will really need one, but probably wouldn't be a bad thing to do...

you also will probably gain like 1mph with a new impeller if your into speed

If your ski is stock, then yes,you need to keep the stock impeller.I cannot see putting the reinforcment on if you keep it stock.I would change the intake grate though.Seal the pump. What year is the ski? The earlier models,00-02 have more SMC in the tunnel area, making them pretty strong.

its an 02. i thought maybe there would we a impeller that would be more efficent then the stock one. the engine is stock for the most part nothing that will ad serious power. and i plan on leaving it for the most part the way it is.

ill give them a call next week.

i been out of the hole pwc thing for a while. When i changed the prop on the boat i noticed a big diffrence even thought i didnt change the pitch. the guy at the store when i bought the SS prop told me that the alimum ones have a tendency to flex and warp under strain and high rpms.

i was wondering if something like the solas would make the ski run better at low and high speeds, or if the stock impeler was aluminum and had the same problem as boat props.
