stainless steel wear ring
Hulk I live in canada and i am a tool maker. I was wondering if the stainless steel wear ring is identical to the plastic one. Meaning that i could just copy a plastic one when i make the stainless one.
Thanks
Brad

i was thinking about making one too, do you have the dimensions of the plastic (new one!) wear ring? Or better yet a steel one. i guess i should mic my prop to be sure.

Thanks Jerry. I called and talked to Bruce again today. Got the SS wear ring on the way. I am thinking you are right. It's a pricey piece, but at this power level, its a must have, imo.
Running 8400-8500 RPMs at the Bug all weekend with a prop spinning out of the hole on a OEM wear ring, my holeshot deteriorated quickly and I am sure I am going to find some major cavitation burn on my wear ring when I pull it out this week.
I REALLY wish I would have had my holeshot strong going into the Bug now. That was where the RXPs shined against even the best running GPRs and mine wasn't there this time

I might have skat trak do the steel wear ring mod for $213 at the same time as the double bearing mod.

300 not a bad price since its machined out of a solid pice of stainless. Stainless is very expensive. Close to 2/3rds the price for 1 piece. Cheaper if buying in bulk.

Hulk,
What have the result been with the SS wear ringAny problems
I'm having cavitation out of the hole with a new ring and impeller, I don't know if it's done the the pump support vanes being damaged or not.
