    New project...SL1050

Hey guys! Been way too long since i've been here and now my fingers are starting to tingle since i'm getting bored this winter!!! anyways...i picked up a '97 sl1050 at the end of the summer last year and had it on the water twice. now as soon as i find out what i need to do to the 'cane to get it tuned in just right i will be turning my attention to the 1050. don't really thing there are too many mods done to it...maybe a extended pump and that's about it. the engine will most likely need to have new rings and probably a top end gasket kit on it. after riding the cane most of the summer i need more power!!!! anyone have any suggestions???? might just have to get ahold of richie again and have him work his magic!!!

He installed the pipes, I just don't think he ever finished it up...that we knew.

Oh, the SL1050 comes stock with the extended pump.
Start a projects page, I bet a lot of hidden goodies will surface for that one.

A big bore with triple pipes would make a nice sleeper!

It was ridden but never tuned properly if I remember correctly he was going to call Richie about the carbs and that was the last we heard.

I was thinking about building a 1050 snowmobile engine, but after the 84 miles of ditch banging and bumping today, I realize it would be cool, but useless around here. So my vote is to do what I have been itching to do. So go slam that 1050 in the Hurricane. I believe I saw a log pipe for sale in the classifieds yesterday.

i have yet to get the cane tuned up yet.... the pipes are on and it runs great out of the water but has that low end bog when it is in the water...i still need to get ahold of richie and talk to him on what i should do. been thinking it might be the impellor but how knows...as soon as the snow melts around the barn and i am able to get the doors free of the ice i will be able to get the cane out and start working on her again.
