How do you get to 80 mph
I have a 07 GP 1300r and I am looking to reach 80 mph. I have added free flow exhaust, riva ride plate and intake grate. I have been reading info on porting and boring. I am new to modifying a ski. Can anyone give me some info on how i can reach 80 mph. Thanks

You are going to have to do some serious work and spend serious cash to get to 80. Do some searches on a guy named ICEDOG. He did something similar to what you want. WFO built his ski.
Where are you located?

Welcome Pikey. Please read the link below to get an understanding of GPR high performance safety.http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=39793
You can buy every high performance part available to go 80mph,BUT the key is to put all these parts together correctly with the right combo to make a fast ski.
ported 1300 non pv can get you in the high 70's..77-80mph
ported 1390 big bore pv motors are going 80-84mph for the most part.
Do you have a budget?

Ditto on everything said. If your a novice to motor building take it to a shop. It is also a lot easier to take it to a shop and have them tune your hull. Your speed is only as good as your hull setup.
