    Flo-rite Question

just a quick ? it says 2in diameter on the 4-tec store, is that the outside diameter of the whole vent or just the area inside that air flows. in other words, i have a 2in diameter hole already in my hull, will the 2 in flo-rite just pop in w/ no problems? THANKS

You need a 2 3/8" hole per RIVA's rear air intake instructions. I've drilled about 6 and the fit in the plastic cowling on my RXP is very snug.

but i'd be putting them in fiberglass, not plastic (BTW i have an 06 STX15F im putting them in) look at pic 1, see the 2 tie hooks under the rear seat. i'd like to take those out and put flo-rites in there, thats where the 2in hole is already drilled from the factory. Is the barb on the flo-rite long enough to go through a 1/4in of fibergrass?

I'd say no, it's not enough. I'm not an expert on it since I've never put them in fiberglass but I think you will have to grind the inside wall so it becomes thin enough to accept the flo-rite. There should be a couple posts on the flo-rite-in-fiberglass install if you do a search.

i did a simliar mod on my 15f i just cut out the bump in the black part so it was now a hole and then just used screen and put over it and used the existing black part to hold it on with just regular bolts. i have had no problems with it such as water ingestion. ill try to post pics if i can
