    Oil injection question

First let me say this is a great site! The info found here is very helpful. I have A 1996 SL780 and want to go to premix, but it looks tough to get to the pump to block it off. I want to run it this next season to work out some bugs and next winter I plan a full rebuild. Would it work if I just ran the oil hoses to the carbs back to the oil tank for now? And let it just circulate? Just a thought, I donít want to tear it down till I have to. It runs good but needs paint and such, and has MFD issues. Thanks!

    Welcome to the Hulk!

Is there a problem with your oil injection system currently?

If I were you I'd pull the carb rack and do a teardown and inspection of them this will make the pump easy to get to and help assure your motor will be well fed next season

I like this line of thinking ^^^^^. Also, consider all new fuel lines while you're at it. Very cheap insurance IMO.

Always worthwhile to ensure the fuel system is 100%

As far as I can tell it is working fine. Have yet to get it on the water, just run it for short bursts in my shop. Just feel safer with premix. My other ski a kaw stand up is set up that way, with the block off plate, but was easy to get to! All new lines have been put on thats what got me thinking about this. Thanks you guys!

you could do it the way you suggested just make sure to plug the 3 nipples were the injection feeds the motor

Well to the fuel tank, I had to pull the tank and the sending unit that goes down in the tank. Thought that was the problem with the MFD as it shows low fuel even when full.
