stock intercooler removal HELP
I have my stock IC part of the way out, but I can't get the back end to come out. It doesn't seem to be hitting the gas tank.... What to do????

never mind. It is hitting the gas tank... Now I just need to figure out how to get around that.

No way out unless you unbolt and remove or tilt the complete intake manifold...i got the same issue on my C180...not enough space between the gaz tank and the intake manifold to allow full exit of the stock intercooler because of it's lenght...

Quick like that (less than 20 minutes since last port)...How did you solve that...?

The IC was almost completely out, but the last o-ring was catching and I couldn't get the right angle to get it out.
So with a little light tapping with a block of wood and a rubber mallet... she slid right out. I made sure that I wasn't damaging anything else in the process.
I just had to step back. Relax and go at it with a little bit of patience and persistance and it worked.
Sometimes my temper gets the best of me and I had to make sure that it didn't take over the situation and break anything.
Now to go intall the boost gauge and finish up the external IC install. And I have to figure out, how to undo the oietaker clam on the connecting water line to the exhaust manifold. It is up underneath of the manifold and is tough to get to.

I got mine out without loosening the manifold as well. It seems it is different on some ski's. glad to hear. sorry I responded so late to your PM...

No problem... Thanks. anyway steve.
Andy. It is out, and the block off is on with the Boost gauge sensor installed. Now just to finish the rest of the install.
