    Which intercooler for CC racing???

    Hi all,

I'm building an RXP with a rude charger, rr ecu, 4 inch intake etc and race closed course.

I already have an XS IC with Dannys pipes but have been offered a complete RR IC very cheap.

Which would be better under race conditions, throttle repsonse/bottom end/top end???

    Regards,

    Grant

The RR will give you better bottom end and throttle response. Top speed the XS will probably out perform it.

thanks for the quick reply jerry, seeing as I'm rarely at top speed during a race I suppose the RR would be better?

For race situation, YES, Rotax is good...Only for LONG, WOT runs will you want something that is less restrictive...

The RR ic can be fixed easy... open up the outlet by pulling out the brass insert.

Jaws, do you mean the water outlet or the air outlet?

Between those two I would use the Riva.

I have 2 both...i know that a lot of people likes more Riva, others like nore RR...Really iīve like to hear different opinions and if is possible comarison...

I just finished my GTI for GP class, i just tested today with Riva IC and looks great..but i,m open to more opinions...

I get today 8.900 RPM with a solas 13/19 ( with this impeller only get in a stock boat 7650 RPM)....

    Thanks and regards

I have tested the Riva and Rotax Racing back to back and with the Riva i was able to get 1 more PSI of boost (less restrictive) and it was about 100 more RPM's on top than the RR.
